It all started with this post...

Fall Out Boy @ The Troubadour!

The show at the Troubadour was hands down one of the best Fall Out Boy shows that have ever been to. Not only was the crowd completely into it, but even all the music industry peeps were singing along and moshing it up. YES MOSHING. The one thing that was incredibly visible was that you could see that the band was wholeheartedly there for their fans and for everyone that has supported them for so long.

Now even though it did take sometime for them to go on, they were running about 20 minutes behind and the audience was becoming impatient because they kept chanting FALL OUT BOY over and over again. But good thing that Tyga opened up and had everyone ballin’ to his OBAMA song. You know the one that goes, OBAMA, OBAMA, OBAMA, OBAMA. Pretty cool If I do say so myself. He actually came out to play/rap a song with the guys later on during the set, but ultimately just held Patrick’s microphone. You can see a picture of that here.

The whole set was non-stop adrenaline when the guys finally hit the stage. They played some really old songs, like Michael Jackson’s Beat It and tons from Folie A Deux. If you were there and remember the set-list post it in the comments.

Patrick and Pete told stories, well tried to anyways. Jordan from Every Time I Die was in attendance and crowd surfed while there was no music and as Patrick was telling a story. A story of why he never tells stories or talks much on stage. Poor Patrick. That’s when, If I remember correctly, Pete started talking about Gabe and how he received a Midtown bracelet from him that he was wearing. Something about wanting Midtown to get back together and how Gabe takes 8 years to text back. And I will be honest, I really thought Gabe was going to come out and play a song with them. But it didn’t happen, however it was that story that he shared with everyone that reminded me why I love music so much and why I can’t see myself doing anything else.

I’ve been there. Waiting in line to see the band you love so much. Traveling from show to show. Listening to records on repeat just because. I’ve devoted a huge part of my life to music and as silly as it can be sometimes, it’s what keeps me going everyday and what drives me. Not to mention many of my best friends I have met because of going to shows and touring. It’s weird to think back and look at where I was versus where I am now. I’ve been fortunate to meet some of the people I once looked up to and actually become friends with. Trust me, it didn’t come easy. I’ve street teamed for practically every label (ok not every label) and I’ve interned everywhere, and for what? FOR THIS. To continue to share my love and passion for music with you. So don’t ever give up on your dreams, and don’t ever sell yourself short. My motto is, do what you love and love what you do. That’s what I do everyday. With that said, FOB FTW!

P.S: Use the secret. It works.
