It all started with this post...

Folie A deux keeps appearing…

ktbear257:

okay, so this is mostly for the wonderful people at CFOB mania. i decided to post this blog to show some of the things i have found.

first, the line “the best of us can find happiness in misery” is from this post by Pete on his blogspot way back in the CFOB days on August 21, 2008.

“Various sub-classifications of folie à deux have been proposed to describe how the delusional belief comes to be held by more than one person. Sited by Doctor Navron “The best of us can find happiness in misery.” The idea that this is the scientific definitiion of Romeo and Juliet through Shakespeare’s fictional characters.”

also the new song, What a catch, donnie. appears in the post later on…

“Related phenomena

There have been reports that a similar phenomenon to folie à deux had been induced by the military incapacitating agent BZ in the late 60s, and most recently again by anthropologists in the South American rainforest consuming the hallucinogen ayahuasca were then heard shouting “You can’t catch me. Ill be fine until i get to a hospital or the American Embassy. Miss Flack, I just want you back. I’ve got troubled thoughts and the self esteem to match, what a catch…” (Flack assumed to be Roberta Flack’s relatiship with Donnie Hathoway, American R&B singer. (Metzner, 1999).”

OH so now the Donnie at the end of the song title makes that much more sense lol.

i think there are a lot of other things in that post that could end up as lyrics… but who knows. i know i wrote a song with the words “you enter my house and wear out my shoes” after i read this post. maybe pete did the same? only time will tell.

and another tidbit: http://nohartandsole.blogspot.com/2008/05/note-i-wrote-on-napkin-in-my-house-6.html
